You just never know what life is going to throw at you. Today I am working at the store, it’s around 6:00pm and I walk pass one of the AC vents and I smell something burning. I think “my AC unit is on fire”. The smell becomes stronger. I go outside to look around and see a lot of smoke. The smoke was so thick I could not see through it. I search to see where the smoke was coming from and I find the source. The plaza next to my plaza (Amherst Plaza) was engulfed in flames. OH MY! I’m scared. The flames were high and the smoke was everywhere. The fire department, police department, salvation army were all there doing what they do best. My plaza (Carriage Depot) and the Heritage Plaza were blocked off, so no one could come in and no one could leave. Water hoses were coming from every direction. What a seen it was. At one point a small fire started just across the way from my building.

CKC Manchester Convention!
We went to set up our booth on Thursday. We took lots of care placing the product just so. Made over 200 make-n-takes at our booth during the show. Saw some old friends and made some new ones. Thanks everyone for making this year’s show a blast!

John and Kris’ self-portrait. When John and I go places, we always take a self-portrait. If you are my only blog reader, {warning} you will see more of these pictures :) What a bad scrapbooker! I only took six pictures during the show.

Time flies! I can’t believe in less than two weeks, the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Manchester will be here. Where does the time go? We are busy packing. We are planning on bringing QuicKutz products but focusing on the Revolution, 4×4 dies, cookie cutter dies and the brand new 12″ platform. We will also be bring the Zutter’s Bind-It-All tool and owires. We have a Make-n-Take table using the Bind-It-All making a cute calendar. Make sure to drop by and say hi. We are at Booth #66

We have been hearing many companies “Going Green”. In the scrapbooking world, that is not an easy thing. Paper is a staple item on all scrapbook pages. Creative Imaginations and Piggy Tales are two that I know in this industry that are starting the wave by printing on recycled paper.
So I thought to myself, “What can I do as a company?”. My husband, John, who is also in the paper business, suggested giving trees away. What a great idea! So that is what we are doing. Starting Thursday, April 24, we are giving trees away until they are all gone. We have 12″ Douglas Firs that can grow up into a beautiful Christmas Tree. Going green, one step at a time!
